The right laptop, on the right desk, working on day one.
Buying business hardware is not hard. Buying the right spec, at trade pricing, with it configured, encrypted and enrolled before the courier arrives, the warranty handled when it fails and the old machine wiped properly when it goes, is the part that takes an IT company. We supply Dell, HP, Lenovo and Apple, and we support what we sell.
Who this is for
Businesses that have been buying laptops from a consumer website and setting them up themselves, businesses with a mix of ageing machines and no plan for replacing them, and anyone who needs ten laptops on ten desks by Monday. Managed IT clients get this as standard; it is also available on its own.
What is included
The right specification
We ask what the person does before we quote. A designer, an accountant and a receptionist need different machines, and the cheapest one is rarely the cheapest over three years. Business-grade models only, with the warranty and security features consumer ranges leave out.
Trade pricing, no markup surprises
We buy through distribution at trade prices and the quote shows the hardware and any setup separately, so you can compare like for like.
Set up before it arrives
Every machine is enrolled in Microsoft Intune with Autopilot, so it is encrypted, updated, joined to your Microsoft 365 and has the right software the first time the user signs in. No afternoon lost to a new laptop.
Servers and storage
Where a business still needs a server, we specify, supply, install and back it up, and we will tell you honestly when it should move to the cloud instead.
Monitors, docks and peripherals
Screens, docking stations, headsets and keyboards specified to work with the laptops, so the desk setup is one cable, not a bag of adapters.
Warranty, repairs and lifecycle
If something fails, you call us and we deal with the manufacturer. Every device is tracked from purchase to retirement, and we tell you each quarter what is coming up for replacement so it is budgeted, not a surprise.
What is not included, and why
- Consumer models. We will not supply a home laptop for business use, because it costs more in the end. Our article on why consumer laptops are a false economy explains the reasons.
- Leasing. We can introduce a leasing partner if you would rather spread the cost, but we do not lease ourselves.
What it costs
Hardware is quoted per item at trade pricing, with setup shown separately. There is no markup surprise and no obligation to buy through us to be supported. Managed IT clients have the setup included. Get in touch or book a call with what you need and we will quote the same day.
How it starts
- 1Free IT Health CheckA short online check that benchmarks your security and business risk and tells you where you stand.
- 2Discovery callAn engineer, not a salesperson. What you have, what is broken, what it would cost to fix, in writing.
- 3OnboardingEverything moves across on a plan, with no gap in cover and nothing lost.
Questions people ask before signing
Do we have to buy hardware through you?
No. We support what you already have and what you buy elsewhere. Buying through us means it arrives configured, the warranty is our problem, and the price is trade, which is usually cheaper than the consumer website once you compare business-grade models.
What do you recommend for most staff?
A business-grade laptop with a current processor, 16 GB of memory, a fast solid-state drive and a three-year on-site warranty, plus a dock and a decent screen at the desk. Specific models change monthly; the principle does not.
How quickly can you deliver?
Standard models are usually with you within a few working days. For a batch, we agree a date, prepare the machines in advance and can deliver and set them up on site.
Do you do Macs?
Yes. Apple hardware supplied, enrolled in Intune alongside the Windows machines, and supported by the same helpdesk.
What happens to the old machines?
Drives are wiped to a documented standard so no company data leaves with them, and the hardware is reused, donated or recycled through a licensed waste carrier. You get a record of what was wiped and where it went.
Should we still have a server?
Usually not, if your files can live in SharePoint and your applications run in the cloud. Some businesses still need one for a specific application or for local storage, and for those we supply and support it. We will give you a straight answer either way.
