Your phone system is now software. Treat it that way.
The old analogue phone network is being switched off, and every business line has to move to the internet. That is either an upgrade or a mess, depending on who does it. We port your numbers without downtime, put the calls where your people actually are (desk, laptop, mobile), and support it alongside the network it runs on.
Who this is for
Businesses still on ISDN or analogue lines that need to move before the switch-off, businesses whose staff work from more than one place, and anyone whose current phone provider and IT provider blame each other when calls drop.
What is included
A phone system that fits how you work
A hosted VoIP platform with desk phones and a mobile app, or calling added directly to Microsoft Teams so the phone is just another button in the app your staff already use. We recommend one after seeing how calls actually flow, not before.
Numbers ported, nothing lost
Your existing numbers move to the new service under your authority. We plan the port so the old line stays live until the new one answers, and the receptionist never finds out from a customer.
Call routing that matches the business
Hunt groups, out-of-hours messages, queues, call recording where you need it, and a directory that updates when we add a starter. Changes are a helpdesk request, not a site visit.
Handsets and headsets
Supplied and configured if you want desks to have phones; many businesses now use headsets and the app instead and keep a couple of handsets for the front desk.
The network underneath
Quality of service on the firewall and switches so a large download does not garble a call, and a 4G backup so the phones stay up when the line does not.
Support from the same helpdesk
Phones, line and network are all ours to fix. There is no second supplier to ring.
What is not included, and why
- Calls in a power cut or internet outage. VoIP runs over your connection; if that is down, so are the desk phones, and 999 calls will not go through from them. The mobile app and a mobile phone cover it, and we register the installation address against every number so emergency services can locate a caller.
- Usage outside the plan. Most plans include UK landline and mobile calls; international, premium-rate and calls beyond the allowance are billed at the rates on your quotation.
- The numbers themselves. Numbers belong to the carrier and you have the right to use and port them. If a service ends without the numbers being ported, they lapse, so we always port before we cancel.
What it costs
Per user per month, including the platform, UK calls and support, plus handsets if you want them, on the term stated on the quotation. Prices are available on request: get in touch or book a call and we will quote for your number of users. Teams calling uses your existing Microsoft 365 licence with a calling add-on. Porting is quoted up front.
How it starts
- 1Free IT Health CheckA short online check that benchmarks your security and business risk and tells you where you stand.
- 2Discovery callAn engineer, not a salesperson. What you have, what is broken, what it would cost to fix, in writing.
- 3OnboardingEverything moves across on a plan, with no gap in cover and nothing lost.
Questions people ask before signing
When is the analogue phone switch-off?
Openreach is retiring the analogue and ISDN networks, with the switch-off deadline now set for January 2027. Lines are already being withdrawn area by area, and new analogue lines can no longer be ordered, so any business still on one needs a plan this year.
Hosted VoIP or Microsoft Teams calling?
Teams calling is right if your staff already live in Teams and you want one app for everything. A dedicated hosted platform is better for reception-heavy businesses, call queues and contact-centre style reporting. Both port your numbers and both are supported by us; we will tell you which fits after seeing how calls flow.
Will we lose our number?
No. Numbers are ported under your authority with the old service left running until the new one is live. Delays on the losing provider's side happen, so we start early.
Can staff take calls at home?
Yes. The mobile and desktop apps ring wherever the person is, with the business number shown to the caller. Working from home does not need call diverts or personal mobiles.
What happens to 999 calls?
They work normally while the connection is up. In a power cut or outage the desk phones are down, so keep a mobile phone available and make sure staff know. We register your installation address against each number so emergency services can locate you.
Do we need new handsets?
Only if you want them. Many businesses keep one or two handsets for reception and use headsets with the app everywhere else. If you have recent IP handsets they can often be reused.
